Scott Anderson is chief operating officer (COO) and president of Polymer Resources, Ltd. He brings to his position over 30 years of plastics industry experience leading global profit & loss (P&L) functions, commercial teams, strategic pricing, product management, marketing and global commercial operations.

Anderson joined Polymer Resources in 2016, from SABIC where he was the Global Director of Strategic Pricing for the company’s $7B Innovative Plastics division. In this position he was responsible for creating a new pricing department and mission and implementing a new pricing strategy across the division. Before that, he served as SABIC’s P&L leader for the company’s acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) business unit where he led product management, sales, marketing, pricing, manufacturing and technology operations

From 2009 to 2013, Anderson served as global sales leader for SABIC’s core resins business unit. Prior to this position, he was global operations leader for the company’s Polymers Division. Before GE Plastics was purchased by SABIC in 2007, Anderson worked at GE in a number of positions of increasing responsibility for the company’s automotive business.

He began his career in 1988 with GenCorp Automotive and subsequently worked at Bailey Corporation and Cambridge Industries.

Anderson holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich., and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University, Flint, Mich.
