Speaker Interview: Tom Lee, BCLP Law

Please share some background on yourself and your company

I am an environmental attorney specializing in product regulation, environmental compliance, and transactional issues. A little over six years ago, I started my firm’s PFAS Team and have worked extensively with companies in various industries to help them navigate the constantly changing regulatory landscape. BCLP is an international, full-service law firm with over 1,200 lawyers worldwide, and I am proud to be the Office Managing Partner of the firm’s San Francisco office.

What are some common challenges your clients face with PFAS regulations in plastic packaging?

The single biggest challenge is the fact that there are many state laws regulating PFAS in food packaging, and their requirements vary widely. The requirements of the TSCA PFAS Reporting Rule are also causing a lot of challenges for the industry, given how broad the scope of the rule is.

What are you most looking forward to from the expo?

Meeting and getting to know members of the industry!

Tom Lee will be speaking on Day 2 at the Plastics Extrusion World Expo Theater.
