Speaker Interview: Andrew Roberts, AssetWatch
Please share some background on yourself and your company
My name is Andrew Roberts, and I’m located in Columbus, Ohio. I've been with AssetWatch for eight years, joining shortly after the company was founded. During this time, I've had the privilege of witnessing and contributing to its remarkable growth and innovation in predictive maintenance.
What does the near future look like for AssetWatch?
AssetWatch is committed to advancing its platform, creating a unified solution for manufacturing companies to manage all their predictive maintenance services in one place. Our future also includes expanding our reach into international markets, broadening
our impact and enhancing global manufacturing efficiencies.
What is the importance of monitoring systems in extrusion focused manufacturing?
Extrusion plays a crucial role in our daily economy, impacting industries such as packaging, medical devices, automotive, oil and gas, and more. It’s essential that these machines operate continuously to ensure products reach the market efficiently. Downtime not only disrupts production but also has a ripple effect that extends all the way to consumers, potentially affecting you and me.
What are you most looking forward to from the expo?
Although remote monitoring is becoming more well-known, there are still many maintenance and reliability professionals who have yet to hear about it. Being able to walk them through how predictive maintenance solutions can make their jobs easier and seeing
their reactions is what I'm most looking forward to. I also look forward to discovering new technologies displayed throughout all four halls of the AMI Plastics World Expo.
Andrew Roberts will be speaking on Day 1 at the Plastics Extrusion World Expo Theater.
