Exhibitor interview: AMUT
We have Fernando Morandi, Sales Area manager for AMUT, in our next interview. They will be exhibiting at the Plastics Recycling World Expo.
AMUT's core business is represented by two divisions: the historic Extrusion division, active since 1958, the year the company was founded, focused on the engineering and production of extruders and extrusion lines for various applications, such as profiles, pipes, sheets, films, membranes, and pellets. The Recycling division, founded in 1985, deals with turnkey plants for the recycling and recovery of plastic waste.
What do you think sets your company apart from your competitors?
We are committed to meeting customers' needs by providing highly efficient turnkey solutions to their full satisfaction. AMUT activity is characterized by extreme level of flexibility to implement and satisfy different customer requests and wishes (customized installations); constant technological improvement; continuous partnership during the execution of the contract and throughout the life of the plant/machinery, thanks to a meticulous after-sales service.
Are there any new technology developments that your company is working on at the moment?
We are constantly striving to find new solutions to support our customers' projects. Among our developments it is worth mentioning: improvement of post-consume polyolefin recycling with the aim of reducing energy consumption as much as possible, in particular fresh water and extrusion of wood plastic composite profiles by means of extruders on double venting special execution.
What are the biggest challenges facing the industry today, and how can this be overcome?
Today, being a reliable partner for customers making investment decisions, whether on recycling projects or extrusion lines, is very important. A goal that can be achieved with a professional approach, a sound and proven technical solution and an extremely friendly relationship.
How do you see the sector developing in the next five to ten years?
Recycling and recovery plants for plastic waste (post-industrial, post-commercial or post-consumer) are already a major share of our activities, and we expect them to grow further in the future.
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
Make sure to catch-up with AMUT at the Plastics Recycling World Expo exhibition area.
