Exhibitor interview: KREYENBORG
We were fortunate enough to interview Marcus Vogt, Sales Manager for KREYENBORG.
KREYENBORG has been a global partner with, and solution provider to, the plastic industry for more than 70 years. In addition to innovative turnkey solutions for bulk material handling, their core competencies are in the processes of drying, crystallisation, storage, and mixing of plastics with solutions geared toward the recycling industry.
What do you think sets your company apart from your competitors?
With our infrared drying systems, KREYENBORG offers a unique technology which can be adapted to a wide range of applications in the recycling industry and also provides high flexibility and energy savings. KREYENBORG’s philosophy is to provide solutions - not just the equipment. We offer process development in close collaboration with the customer, which in the end results in a custom-fit and highly efficient solution.
Are there any new technology developments that your company is working on at the moment?
With the IR-FRESH System, we’ve already proven the performance of the IRD system in reducing odours and VOCs from PCR HDPE and PP materials.
What are the biggest challenges facing the industry today, and how can they be overcome?
The development of new technologies as well as adapting existing solutions to new applications over a relatively short period of time is a challenge for both recyclers and equipment manufacturers.
How do you see the sector developing in the next five to ten years?
For the next 5 years, we see a strong and emerging recycling sector – driven by new legislation, but also by brand owners and end consumers. If the industry proves that they can comply with the challenge of creating a sustainable circular economy, that success will continue over the next decade.
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
KREYENBORG will be exhibiting at Plastics Recycling World Expo in Essen in 2023.
