In our latest exhibitor interview, we spoke to Philipp
Güth, Area Sales Manager at Vecoplan AG.
Vecoplan develops, produces and markets technologically sophisticated machinery and plants for the resource and recycling industry. Their product range comprises systems and components for shredding, grinding and conveying, screening and separating.
Their shredding technology produces homogeneous and recyclable final particle sizes from production waste, mixed plastics, film, transport containers (IBC) and pipes. The systems process even the most difficult materials such as extremely tear-proof plastic fibers and fabrics, car airbags, big bags, textiles, ropes and cords. Intelligent developments like e.g. the film and fiber rotor and innovative drives ensure the shredding of even the most demanding materials with minimal energy input.
What do you think sets your company apart from your competitors?
With an increasing global focus on sustainability, we are constantly met with new competitive challenges. Are there any new technology developments that your company is working on at the moment?
The market is very agile and dynamic. In recent years Vecoplan has initiated a development offensive integrating industrial design into shredding, our core competency. What are the biggest challenges facing the industry today and how can this be overcome?
Nowadays, recycling goes along with circular economy, which aims at eliminating waste and continual use of the resources. The challenges for our industry are to provide machines and systems which are capable of producing efficient and high-quality processed materials.
We see ourselves in a pole position to offer such benefits as Vecoplan AG for more than 50 years already develops, produces and markets machinery and plants for shredding, conveying and processing different input materials for recycling processes. With its technologically sophisticated solutions Vecoplan belongs to the leading international companies of the industry.
How do you see the sector developing in the next five to ten years?
Nowadays recycling goes along with circular economy, which aims at eliminating waste and continual use of the resources. The challenges for our industry are to provide machines and systems which are capable of producing efficient and high-quality processed materials.
In the future, the focus will be more and more on climate neutrality, digitisation and advanced circular economy. The recycling market is definitely on the rise, there will be also a changing and further developing due to the important topics mentioned above.
In view of the increasing scarcity of raw materials and the price situation, high-quality recycled plastic granules are increasingly being used in the plastics processing industry.
What are you most looking forward to at this years’ show?
It is quite simple amazing that we do have the possibility to meet personally and in only two days such number of experts and partners of the industry. We look forward to networking and sharing our knowledge.
