In our next Exhibitor Interview we caught up with Martina Schmidt, Head of Business Unit Recycling/Waste at Vecoplan about the plastics recycling market and what makes Vecoplan stand out from the crowd.

What do you think is currently the biggest challenge facing your industry?
Nowadays recycling goes along with circular economy, which aims at eliminating waste and continual use of the resources. The challenges for our industry are to provide machines and systems which are capable of producing efficient and high quality processed materials.
We see ourselves in a prime position to offer such benefits as Vecoplan AG already develops, produces and markets machinery and plants for shredding, conveying and processing different input materials for recycling processes, and has done so for over 50 years. With its technologically sophisticated solutions, Vecoplan is known as one of the leading international companies within the industry.
What do you think sets your company apart from your competitors?
With an increasing global focus on sustainability, we are constantly met with new competitive challenges.
By being close to our customers and markets we meet these challenges and support on an international level with leading and superior products, technologies and complete systems.

Are there any new technology developments that your company is working on at the moment?
The market is very agile and dynamic. In recent years Vecoplan has initiated a development offensive integrating industrial design into shredding, our core competency.
