Brand new to VELOX GmbH’s product range is CaCO3. CaCO3 is an exceptionally high-quality calcium carbonate which is used in adhesives and sealants, interior and exterior paints as well as plastic compounds.

The fine grades of 1-3 micrometer d50 make this product extremely pure and whiter than the rest of the market. The combination of extreme purity, high whiteness and softness of this material is very unique. Put simply, this is a product which has all the advantages of marble and all the advantages of limestone combined.

The natural calcium carbonate is extracted and refined at in-house plants by VELOX’s Croatian partner White Rock Minerals, one of the country’s leading exporters of mineral raw materials, holding approximately 350 million tonnes of reserves of this extremely white limestone.

“The calcite fillers offered by VELOX feature chemical purity of over 98 percent and, at a Ry value of >95.5, achieve a very high degree of whiteness”, says Marten Reimers, Product Manager CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers) at VELOX.
