Sylvia Tabero

Mrs. Sylvia Tabero graduated from Brunel University in 1985 with a BSc (hons) in Management and Materials Technology. This 4 year degree included 6 month placements at Transport & Road Research, Admiralty Marine Research and Gundle Plastics Pty South Africa. 

She started her career as an Area Sales Representative for Duracell Batteries and then moved back into the plastics industry in 1987 by joining Plastic Engineers, a custom injection moulding company in the UK mainly working for the automotive and IT industries. As the company grew her role developed from Technical Sales Representative to Sales Manager and then Acting General Manager for one of the company’s plants. After a brief period in the printing industry in 1992 she joined Plastic Engineering Leamington, an injection moulding company focussed on the automotive sector. In her role as Technical Sales Representative she spent 5 years developing key automotive accounts and non-automotive business prior to joining AMI in her current role. 

Sylvia has worked with AMI since 1997 and has an extensive background in market research and consultancy across a broad range of plastics sectors but particularly in injection moulding and engineering thermoplastics for which she has carried out a wide range of single client studies. In addition to producing the multi-client report of the European injection moulding industry, Sylvia is the co-author and key researcher for many of AMI’s multi-client reports including PP Compounds (global and European editions), Long Fibre Polypropylene (global),  Single Ply Roofing Membranes Europe and Artificial Grass (global). She also works within AMI consultancy teams on due diligence and other client requirements.
