Mr. Slayton Altenburg’s first job at TPEI was feeding drinking straws to a single screw extruder and soda bottles to a granulator when he was in grade school.  His father, the founder of the company, had started a small reclaim operation that he was able to “help” with.  After high school Slayton joined the Marine Reserves, earned a degree in Culinary Arts, and worked as a professional chef for the next decade.  In 2014 TPEI was growing and had just completed a fairly large expansion in manufacturing capabilities and research and development.  Through the attention to detail and creativity utilized in his culinary success, those same qualities are applied to compounding trials and system integration.
