Richard Krock is Principal, VyChlor Advisors LLC, a consulting company he formed in 2022 to assist manufacturers, recyclers, suppliers, and trade associations in advancing their positions in the vinyl value chain. He retired as Senior Vice President for Regulatory and Technical Affairs at the Vinyl Institute and has worked in the PVC industry for 35 years beginning with the BFGoodrich in 1988. He joined the Vinyl Institute in 2009 to maximize the organization’s impact and value for its members by applying his many years of experience to advocate for the industry, and advance its strategic positions related to regulatory and technical affairs, and sustainability.

He has participated on many standards development committees with organizations including ASTM, IEEE, NEMA, NSF International, UL, and Green Building Initiative to ensure vinyl’s position in the competitive marketplace. He formed the V-Cycle Task Force of the Vinyl Sustainability Council in 2018 and has made numerous industry presentations and written articles about vinyl recycling and sustainability. As a registered professional engineer, Mr. Krock’s career has spanned petroleum refining, carbon fibers and pitch with Ashland Oil, plastic resin polymerization with Borg Warner, plastics compound marketing and processing with Geon, and recycling. Mr. Krock holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Marshall University in Huntington, WV.
