Andy Beevers is a chemical engineering graduate with more than 35 years of publishing and events experience. After graduating from Birmingham University in the UK, he trained as a journalist and spent eight years writing for process engineering and design engineering magazines, covering plastics from production and design perspectives. 

In 1992, he was appointed editor of European Plastics News and Asian Plastics News magazines, covering the polymer industry on a global basis. Andy became publishing and events director of the Emap Maclaren Polymer Group in 2002. In this role he managed the division’s magazines and spearheaded the development of its conferences and exhibitions for the plastics market. 

Andy joined AMI in 2008 as head of business publishing. He launched the company’s portfolio of digital magazines and apps focused on specific sectors of the global plastics industry. In his current role as Events and Magazines Director, he also oversees the company’s 50+ conferences and he has led the launch of its focused exhibitions in Germany and the USA.
